AppShelf · for Shopify app developers

Know when a review vanishes, a rating slips or a listing disappears.

AppShelf is RivalryRadar for the Shopify App Store. It checks your app's listing and your competitors' every day and tells you, in plain English, about new reviews, reviews that disappear, rating changes, delistings and competitor listing edits. Free for your app plus 1 competitor.

Why developers are watching their listings

Shopify app developers keep reporting apps delisted with little warning and reviews that disappear without notice. You usually find out from a merchant, days later. AppShelf keeps a daily record of your listing and your rivals', so you see the change the day it happens and have the before and after.

What it monitors

New reviews

Each new review on your app or a competitor's, with star rating, text and store, from the newest-first reviews page.

Removed reviews

We keep a copy of the newest 100 reviews. When one is removed, it goes in your removed-review log with the saved copy and the time we noticed, ready to download as a CSV for an appeal. Large drops in the total review count are flagged too.

Rating changes

The App Store star rating moving, for example 4.9 → 4.8, with the review count at that moment.

Delistings

When a listing starts returning “page not found”, we email you as soon as the check finds it, and again if it comes back.

Competitor listing edits

Changes to a rival's listing text: pricing plans and prices, description, features, Built for Shopify badge, categories. Each with an AI note on what it means.

Client reports

On Agency, group apps per client into a report with a private share link and a PDF of the period's changes and removed reviews.

Who it's for

Indie app developers

One or two apps, no time to refresh the listing every morning, and a lot riding on the rating.

Small app studios

Several apps and a handful of rivals in each category, watched in one dashboard.

Agencies building for merchants

Keep an eye on the apps your clients depend on, so a delisting doesn't surprise anyone.

How it works

1

Paste the listing URL

In your dashboard, add apps.shopify.com/your-app, then your competitors. We save a baseline of each listing and its newest reviews.

2

We check daily

Every listing and newest-reviews page is read once a day and compared with the last check. Shopify's rotating promos are ignored.

3

You get the change

New and removed reviews, rating changes and listing edits land in your dashboard and your email (and Slack on Team and Agency). Delistings are emailed right away.

Pricing: AppShelf is included in every RivalryRadar plan

No separate subscription. Free covers your app and 1 competitor app. Solo, with 3 competitor apps, removed-review alerts and the removed-review log, is the step up.

FAQ

Do you need access to my Shopify Partner account?
No. AppShelf reads the public Shopify App Store pages anyone can see: the app's listing and its reviews page sorted by newest. We never log in anywhere.

How do I add an app?
Create a free account, open your dashboard and paste the app's listing URL, for example apps.shopify.com/your-app. Add your own app first, then competitors. Each app counts as one competitor slot on your plan.

How does the removed-review log work?
At every daily check we save a copy of each review on the first pages of the app's newest reviews: up to 10 pages, which is the newest 100 reviews. When a saved review disappears from those pages and its own review page on the App Store now returns "not found", we log it with the copy we saved and the time we noticed. You can view the log in your dashboard or download it as a CSV. Reviews older than the newest 100 aren't copied, but a fall of at least 5 reviews or 0.5% in the total review count is still flagged.

How fast will I hear about a delisting?
We check every listing once a day. When a check finds the listing returning "page not found", we email you right away on every plan, and it's in your dashboard too. On paid plans, removed reviews are emailed the same way.

Is AppShelf a separate subscription?
No. AppShelf is part of RivalryRadar and uses the same plans. There is nothing extra to buy.

How is this different from Ranksy?
Ranksy (from $39/month, 7-day trial, no free plan) is a full Shopify app analytics suite: hourly listing checks, screenshot changes, keyword and category ranks, revenue attribution. If you need those, it's built for that. AppShelf is simpler and cheaper: daily checks of listings and reviews with plain-English notes, free for your app plus 1 competitor.

Are you affiliated with Shopify?
No. RivalryRadar is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify.
